This week I am especially grateful for my family and it's health.
Yes we do have a few issues and ups and downs with our health, but really it is all either fixable or managable.
But this weekend my thoughts and heart are with my SIL. As they wait for results on her 14 year old son's tests to find out if he has bone cancer or not. (Short version is that have just found a mass on his knee)
When you are fronted with something like that it seriously makes you stop and take stock.
So I am grateful my family's health (me The miner, Mr Magoo and The Princess)
And I am grateful for just spending time with my family and just doing the little things with them.

Things I know
I want to do some cooking today from this book
Mr Magoo has a quest for knowledge
To find some of those answers to those questions I promised to help him "gurgle"it on the computer this weekend.
That we found the house we want to build
That we can afford the house we want to build
But I dont want to be in debt that much
I know The Miner is trying to get the new business ahead
But I know he is working too much
I have my first custom order of an embroidery sampler
I have no idea where I will find the time to do it with The Miner working so much.
I know there will be some late nights ahead.
I know I am behind in many blog posts I have promised others
Which is another thing which is hard to do with The Miner working so much
I know that the people in the blogging community make my day.
Go over to Yay for home, which has a very special guest this week

No with winter starting in early round these parts I have been spending my nights curled up on the lounge with the kids (watching Masterchef) and crocheting my granny blanket. I am using wool I got from cleaning out mum’s place
The colours are nice and warm feeling. I am not sure how big I will make it. Guess I will just keep going on and on. (like you do)

Today is my birthday
This is a cookbook I requested.
I love this style of cookbook (fun, lots of photos, drawings, stories etc)
I love it but suspect it may be my mother's day card, so maybe on sunday I will get a birthday card
Sunday will be my first mother's day without a mother
On tuesday it will be the first anniversary of my own mother's passing.
This is currently The Princess's favourite book "Mr Bgee"
This is a train ride to nowhere with Mr Magoo
This is where a lot of my time, energy and emotions are being spent.
Rattles (the twin of the lamb we lost at easter) who is very runty.
(I know cleaning up a fly-blown lamb seriously turns ya stomach)
We had a visit from Jack frost last night.

Then folded then up
Put them into a bucket
The Princess held the bucket up high
Mr Magoo reached up and picked the winning ticket
