Things I know

A few things I know from this week

I know when hanging the washing when the temperature is below zero you develop an irrational  fear your fingers will snap as they are so freaken cold
After a while of hanging that said washing you just think, "stuff it" and stop haning it out and leave it for the next day.

I know husbands and children have very selective hearing and very short term memories
I am very over the previous mentioned fact.

I know I didnt get the house cleaned up this week like I wanted to.
I know the washing pile is never ending
I know I need to become more organised.
I know I am going to try and do a bit of a clean up this weekend (well I have high hopes)

I know I have a few giveaways coming up this week.

Oh yes, apart from resigning myself to the fact i have a huge task raising 4 children, when it comes to Winter washing, the dining table chairs are fantastic airers, i buy inexpensive knickers & socks which get tossed in the dryer & the treadmill dries sheets & blankets perfectly. No point hanging them out here, they just get cold on the line in Canberra, not dry, love Posie

I've invested on 3 cheap clothes horses (thank you Reject Shop!), house looks like a laundromat with clothes hanging everywhere, but there's no way I'm going out there in that cold!!!

My kids have very good memory ("didn't great-grandma give us a slice of swiss roll to take home the other day?") but like yours definitely have very selective hearing: "turn the tv off now please" never gets heard, but if I'm on the other side of the house and unwrap a chocolate bar or even just whisper the word chocolate EVERYBODY hears me and comes asking for some.

Good luck with your house cleaning Sarah, it makes one feel so much better/happier when the house looks nice :)
