Wordless Wednesday- water tanks

These may be just big green water tanks to some
But for those of us who live out of town these are our lifeline

And on a Friday afternoon to discover they are empty due to a leak
It fills your mind with serious horror

joining in with My Little Drummer Boys      for wordless wednesday

OH yes, that keeps it real. We'll have to have enormous tanks for our homestead - with 4 teenagers on the horizon, oh boy!! We'll put our inground, do you have any tips or preferences or disaster stories, besides leaking, gulp. Love Posie

Posie, make sure your pipes from the tank to the pump are well covered and protected in winter.
Also make sure your water pump is well protected. A few of us here lost our pumps in our first winter.
We have 2, 20,000L tanks. But will be getting another when we build our house. Goodluck

Oh no! That's awful. I hope you managed to get them fixed and get some water.

Oh what happened?
How terrible.

How do you lose pumps ?
I am definitely telling my hubby about this potential disaster

I am terrified of this when we survive on water tanks with two boys who leave taps on and love water !
They have drained hot water tank at farm.

Thanks for linking up.
Happy WW

Ps I just saw you are near Orange ...we are moving to Dubbo.
Who do you recommend for water tanks ?

I can totally feel your pain! We have a tank at our place (still in suburbia) and I know whats its like when we run out!

I grew up in the country so have always had a deep respect for water usage. Today I live on acreage with my partner and we have tanks. I feel your sense of horror at such a devastating discovery. Hope the problem was easily and quickly fixed. Buying water in is definately not fun!

We lost our pump as the motor seized due to the cold in the winter and we hadnt covered it up enough. But you wont have to worry about that in Dubbo.
I think we got our tanks through Bushmans.
ladychiara, I hate buying water and it is town water so just feels so horrible on my skin.

Oh no, what a nightmare. Glad you were able to get hold of some water. But still, such a bugger.
